Pet Adoptions
When you adopt a pet from the Mobile County Animal Shelter you are making a lifelong friend as well as giving an animal a new start in life. We have a variety of mixed breed and sometimes purebred dogs, puppies, cats, and kittens for adoption.

Adoption Fees
Adoption fees help offset the costs of caring and rehoming these animals, covering just 32 percent of the total. Fees are continuously adjusted depending on available sponsorship, grants, and economic inflation.
Unaltered Animals:
Set Fees for dogs/puppies under this classification include spay/neuter, rabies shot, 5-in-1 vaccination, wormer, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm testing (age 6 months and older), and microchipping.
Set fees for cats/kittens under this classification include spay/neuter, rabies shot, 4-in-1 vaccination, wormer, and microchip.
Altered Animals:
Set fees for dogs/puppies under this classification includes rabies shot, 5-in-1 vaccination, wormer, Bordetella vaccine, heartworm testing (age 6 months and older), and microchipping.
Set fees for cats/kittens under this classification includes rabies shot, 4-in-1 vaccination, wormer and microchipping
Adoption Hours
Monday - Friday: 10:00am to 4:00pm
Saturdays: 10:00am to 2:00pm
