Announcement from Judge of Probate About the City of Mobile Annexation Election on July 18

Posted on: Jun 15th, 2023 | News and Announcements

A message from Judge of Probate Don Davis, Mobile County's chief elections official:

"Further review of the data provided to the Probate Court reflects that a small number of persons were incorrectly identified as residing within one of the four proposed areas to be annexed into the City of Mobile.  Generally speaking, these persons live on Falling Creek Court in an area outside of the proposed annexation areas.  On this date the Court sent written notice to these persons advising them that based upon the information provided to the Court, these persons do not live within one of the areas proposed to join the City of Mobile and thus, they will not be entitled to vote in the upcoming annexation election.  If any of these persons believe the Probate Court's data is not correct, they are encouraged to contact the Probate Court immediately.

Additionally, further review of the data provided to the Probate Court reflects that a small number of persons were initially assigned to the wrong poll to vote on the upcoming election day.  Generally speaking, these persons live on Cypress Drive.  On this date the Court sent written notice to these persons advising them of the correct poll location.  If any of these persons believe the Probate Court's data is not correct, they are encouraged to contact the Probate Court immediately."
