No layoffs or salary cuts are included. · The elimination of two employee holidays ? Jefferson Davis?s birthday on Monday, June 7, and the July Fourth holiday, which falls on a Sunday and would be observed on Monday, July 5. · A 15 percent cut in remaining budget allocations to local non-profit groups. · Redirection of a portion of tobacco tax funds and lodging taxes into the county general fund. · Postponement of selected public works projects. The Mobile County Commission will continue to monitor fluctuations in tax revenues and take action, as necessary.
