MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. – Mobile County’s largest Easter egg hunt drew more than 2,000 people to three Mobile County parks for free family fun on Saturday, April 19 from noon to 3 p.m.
The amazing Easter Bunny was present at Bayfront Park, Chickasabogue Park, and Escatawpa Hollow Park & Campground at the same time for pictures with guests and, of course, to hide eggs and kick off the 8,000 toy- and candy-filled egg hunt, which was conducted in two phases at each park: ages 7 to teen, and ages 6 and under.
The festivities had perfect weather and guests were able to enjoy park amenities, including new playgrounds at each park, as well as music, face painting, lawn games, children’s activities, food trucks, and more.
There were 100 golden eggs at each park (50 for ages 6 and under, 50 for ages 7 to teen), which children were able to exchange for special prizes like kites, sand pails/shovels, arts and crafts kits, and more.
The inaugural Easter EGGstravaganza at three Mobile County parks was a resounding success.
Photo albums will be posted to each park’s Facebook page in the coming days.
