Jerry Carl Funds Technology Updates to Schools of Half a Million in Two Years

Mobile County Commission President Jerry Carl Monday committed $250,000 to technology updates in District 3 public schools, bringing to more than half a million his commitment to IT upgrades for those schools in the last two years. The contract for the money transfer was approved unanimously by the commission at its morning meeting. Mobile County commissioners have committed to using the majority of administrative fees it earns from school tax collections for local education projects. Each of the last two years, Carl has provided the money to the Mobile County Public School System?s IT Department for computers and other technology. Last year, Carl contributed $266,000 to the schools.
