MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. -- Urgent plea! Mobile County Animal Shelter needs space. Please help move adoptable dogs and puppies currently in the Shelter to their forever homes or into MCAS’ foster program.

83 adoptable dogs and puppies need homes or fostering (38 of these are ≤ 6 months)

  • Adult dogs are fully sponsored (no adoption fees)
  • Puppies are partially sponsored ($40 or less to adopt)

Mobile County Animal Control assisted MCSO over the weekend and now has 32 dogs in its custody on legal hold + it’s puppy season.  The combination means that Mobile County Animal Shelter is over capacity. Animal Control’s top space priority obligation is to legal holds. The confiscated animals require single runs. Please help us make room at Mobile County Animal Shelter by adopting or fostering a dog or puppy who was already a resident of the Shelter before the legal-hold dogs were brought in.

Adoption hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday ? 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday. Mobile County Animal Shelter is located at 7665 Howells Ferry Road ? Mobile, AL 36618.

Many of these adoptable adult dogs and puppies have already been

spayed or neutered and can go to their forever homes today.
