Michael Update #1 6:20 PM Monday

Posted on: Oct 8th, 2018 | Announcements

MOBILE COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY HURRICANE MICHAEL UPDATE: Mobile County is currently under a Tropical Storm Warning, a Hurricane Watch and a Coastal Flood Advisory. This is due primarily to a slight westerly shift in the forecast track for Hurricane Michael. This shift exposes our area to more of the storm impacts of high wind, storm surge and rain. Currently the risks are considered to be slight to moderate. Should this westerly shift continue over the next several hours be prepared to take further action such as evacuate to higher ground if you are vulnerable to the potential storm surge along the immediate coast. Landfall is projected to be Wednesday morning somewhere in the Florida panhandle.
