Mobile County Announces Tax-Free Weekend

In a few weeks, school bells will be ringing and area students will be headed back to the classroom. To assist with back-to-school expenses, the Mobile County Commission will once again have a sales tax holiday. Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011, to midnight on Sunday, August 7, 2011, the purchase of back-to-school items are exempt from county sales and use taxes.
