The Mobile County Commission has selected Glenn L. Hodge to serve as its new County Administrator, replacing longtime Administrator John Pafenbach who retired in January. Ten candidates from around the nation were considered during recent public interviews.

Prior to joining the Mobile County Commission staff, Hodge served at the Mobile County License Commission as an Investigator and as a Field Auditor. After joining the Commission's staff, he served as Director of General Services from 1999-2007, then as Deputy County Administrator from 2007 until his appointment as County Administrator today.

He is a retired U.S. Coast Guard Reserve Petty Officer, having served from 1984-2004.

Hodge is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning a bachelor's degree in economics. He completed a Certificate in County Administration from the Association of County Commissions of Alabama. He is married to Cheryl E. Hodge and they have four adult children.
