Newly Elected Mobile County Commission Takes Office

On November 11, Commissioner Merceria Ludgood (District1), Commissioner Connie Hudson (District 2), and Commissioner Randall Dueitt (District 3) were officially sworn into office. The Commissioners will serve the next four years. After taking the oath of office, the Commission held a brief organizational meeting and agreed to rotate the presidency of the Commission with each serving one-third of the four-year term. The presidency will rotate as follows:

 

President:

          Commissioner Ludgood – November 11, 2020 until 11:59 p.m. on March 13, 2022

          Commissioner Hudson – March 14, 2022 until 11:59 p.m. on July 9, 2023

          Commissioner Dueitt – July 10, 2023 until election of a new president on November 13, 2024

 

Vice President:

          Commissioner Hudson – November 11, 2020 until 11:59 p.m. on March 13, 2022

          Commissioner Dueitt – March 14, 2022 until 11:59 p.m. on July 9, 2023

          Commissioner Ludgood – July 10, 2023 until election of a new president on November 13, 2024

 

At the meeting, the Commission also approved its conference and meeting schedule for 2020-2024.
