Special Mobile County Commission Meeting Called

The Mobile County Commission will meet with the Alabama Department of Homeland Security and the Baldwin County Commission next week to discuss a potential joint communications system for the two counties. The meeting is set for 10 a.m. Monday, May 16 at Five Rivers ? Alabama?s Delta Resource Center in the Blakeley Hall building, 30945 Five Rivers Blvd, Spanish Fort. In a related matter, the Mobile County Commission approved a memorandum of understanding for the proposed joint 700 MHZ P25 radio data and communications system at today?s Mobile County Commission meeting. It would be utilized primarily by first responders. Funding for the system would be made available through the state of Alabama.
