Weather Preparation Tax Holiday in Mobile County

The state of Alabama has scheduled its third annual state sales and use tax holiday to assist residents in preparing for any type of severe weather situation. Beginning at 12:01 a.m., on Friday, February 21, and ending at midnight on Sunday, February 23, the purchase of batteries, ice packs, duct tape, plywood, and any other weather preparedness item $60 or less is exempt from state sales tax; including all portable generators and power cords under $1,000 each.
