The first Mardi Gras in North America was held in Mobile in 1703! Come be a part of a 320-year-old tradition and experience the birthplace of Mardi Gras!
2025 parades in Mobile County:
The Town of Dauphin Island kicks off Mobile County’s parade season with Krewe de la Dauphine rolling at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025.
With more than 20 parades along various parade routes, the City of Mobile is hopping from 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14 until the last parade rolls at 6 p.m. on Mardi Gras day (Fat Tuesday), March 4.
To help keep everyone informed, the City launched an online Mardi Gras dashboard, click here (Mardi Gras: City of Mobile) for information on parades, routes, parking, safety, etc.
The City of Saraland’s Krewe of Sparta rolls Saturday, March 1 at noon on U.S. Highway 43 starting at Bayou Ave. and ending at Jacintoport Ave.
Parades that roll in the City of Prichard on Saturday, March 1: Krewe of Goats parade begins at noon, followed by the Prichard Carnival Association’s parade.
